Greg and Susan Hendren are a miracle from heaven.  After the passing of both of their spouses in 2023, they met online.  What makes this love story so special is that they did not know each other after living in the same county for more than 50 years.  Both give the Lord Jesus the Glory for their remarkable meeting at ages 70 and 66.  Many older couples choose to remain single, but this marriage is the continuation of the Hendren legacy.

“We believe marriage and family is God’s idea no matter what your age.  We have found the love of our lives in each other and share a common goal in ministry and family.”  Susan graduated from Kenneth Copeland Bible College in 2023, earning an Associates of Arts in Biblical Studies.

In addition to the marriage, the Lord has fulfilled a life-long dream of Greg’s return to Wilkesboro, NC to live and build a chapel overlooking the Yadkin Valley on property that he inherited from his parents.  The largely undeveloped mountainous land has been in the Hendren family for more than 5 generations and farmed for more than 100 years.  Nine generations of Hendrens have lived in Wilkes County, moving from Ireland, in the mid-1750s.

We are building our new facility, called the Seeking-Jesus Retreat, with completion expected in the Spring 2027.
